Legendary Disco/R&B singer Joyce Sims has announced a short February 2012 UK tour, starting with Birmingham on 23rd February and ending in London on 26th February.
Sims is back with a four-city tour that supports her new EP on August Rose Records, which includes two future club classics, “Running Back to You” and “Back in Love.”
On her latest project, Sims teams up with two world-renowned producers to record funky remixes of “Running Back to You,” DJ Tom Noize (Australia) and DJ DK (United States).
Sims was last in the UK in Spring 2011, and she is excited about returning to the UK. “Music fans in the UK are some of the best in the world and are very passionate about good music. It will be great seeing the fans’ reaction to the new singles.”
Sims has been creating hits for 25 years. In 1987, her debut album “Come Into My Life” charted top 10 Billboard R&B and was certified Gold in the UK. Singles “All and All” and “Come Into My Life” have become club anthems and are still being played on mainstream radio stations across the globe.
In 2006, Sims returned to the charts with the single “What The World Needs Now” from the CD “A New Beginning, which allowed her to work with hit maker producers Junior Vasquez and Glen Friscia of “Friscia & Lamboy.” The single “What The World Needs Now” debuted at #19 and climbed into the top 10 on the Billboard Club Play Chart.
