This concert is a chance to hear this compelling pianist playing solo
 4th January 2010: Pianist Robert Mitchell leads two award-winning bands - Robert Mitchell 3io (which picked up Best Jazz Album at the 2009 Gilles Peterson Awards) and Panacea (Innovation Award as part of the F-IRE Collective 2004). Robert has released five albums (and is in the studio very soon with his band Panacea) and has curated a solo piano festival (Lifting the Lid). He has worked with Omar Puente, Dan Stern, Jhelisa Anderson, The Deep MO, Matana Roberts and David Lyttle amongst many others. This concert is a chance to hear this compelling pianist playing solo, and features music from his solo album Equinox, which was nominated for Best New Work at the BBC Jazz Awards.
