Detectives are appealing for information and witnesses after a woman was raped in Rivington Street, EC2.

On Sunday 20th November 2011, at around 01:00 hours, a 21 year old woman was walking home from a club in Rivington Street, when she was approached by the suspect, who engaged her in conversation. As she started to continue her walk home he attacked her.

Detectives have released a CCTV image of the suspect. He is described as a black man in his early 30s and is approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall. He is of stocky build and has a London accent.
