This Valentine’s Day, The Africa Channel (Sky 268) serves up an afternoon of mouth-watering entertainment, showing four delicious episodes of Cooking with Siba.
As the day of romance might predict, some viewers may be planning a starry-eyed dinner date with someone special. If home is the venue of choice for fizz and flowers, The Africa Channel’s vivacious cook Sibahle ‘Siba’ Mtongana’s simple, yet unique dishes could provide the ideal menu.
Viewers are invited to spend the afternoon doing their foodie research on The Africa Channel’s Cooking with Siba Valentine’s Day Special on 14th February from 2:00 pm.
In four fantastic episodes, Siba welcomes a heady mix of celebrities into her kitchen, all eager to add their culinary know-how and exciting edge to contemporary African cooking.
Vanessa Marawa, the first winner of Survivor SA turned TV presenter puts her seafood ban to one side to help create the perfect Seafood Paella. A delicious Fuss-Free Fruit Trifle is just one of the dishes prepared by charismatic kwaito artist and Afro Café host Stoan Seate whose skills in the kitchen are almost as good as his skills on the mike!
Next up is TV personality; business mogul and health advocate Gerry Elsdon (Big Brother SA) who helps Siba to make an appetising dish of Chocolate Crepes served with ice cream.
Staying with the chocolate theme, Siba’s super-quick Chocolate Truffles make an ideal Valentine’s Day gift – and nothing gets the heart racing more than a home-made pressie!
Although they are fairly easy to prepare, each dish has an equal place on the podium making them more than perfect for Valentine’s Day.
