22nd April 2009: The Miss Uganda UK 2009 in Association with “Kampala Nights” are hosting a charity Bash at the Prestigious and most popular Ugandan hang out venue in the UK, the Club Volts - VIP Lounge.

Entrance fee is £10 of which £5 is donated to the Miss Uganda UK Beauty contest’s official charity – Latitude Care Network (LCN).

There will be a host of activities in place to keep everyone entertained such as:
• Miss Uganda UK 2009 Contestants on Show
• Guest Appearances by various Beauty Queens
• Exclusive Ugandan Theme Music all night
• Snacks on Sale proceeds to Charity
• Miss Uganda UK 2009 Ticket giveaways

“Miss Uganda UK Beauty contest is an innovative way to put Uganda on the map for international trade and tourism and to let the World learn about our history, beauty, culture, traditions, tourism potential and all aspects of Ugandan lifestyle both here in the UK and across the globe. Our contestants are encouraged to promote all of these attributes that Uganda has to offer,” says Ms. Joyce Church, Event Director.

“In the process of doing that, we take the opportunity and utilise Miss Uganda UK to highlight the plight and raise funds for the underprivileged children of Northern Uganda. Miss Uganda UK gives us all an opportunity to give back to our community and come to the aid of those less fortunate than us,” she adds.

The winner of Miss Uganda UK 2009 will use her title to influence change and raise funds for the children of Northern Uganda through the Latitude Care Network (www.latitudecarenetwork.org)
