Ida Ljungqvist is 2009 Playboy Playmate of The Year! Print E-mail
African beauty queen becomes the first African Playmate ever

ida_headshot4.jpg6th May 2009: She is not only the first ever African in the 50 years of Playboy Mansion, but now also officially playmate of the year 2009.

The gorgeous Ida Ljungqvist beat very stiff competition and opponents in a contest that has some of the most beautiful faces in the world of glamour modelling.

Despite being surprised Playboy Mansion never had any African playmate until her arrival, Ida was glad to represent the world’s greatest continent: Africa. “We all know that African women are (and I’m only being diplomatic) some of the most beautiful women in the world!!! When I learned I was the first, all I had to say was “it’s about time!” Ida told AfroNews and Africa News in an exclusive interview.

Ida was born in Tanzania and lived in Uganda, Kenya, Thailand, South Africa and Malaysia.

She is definitely ready to take her new challenge and will certainly have a busy schedule ahead representing Playboy at various events and be an example of elegance, sexiness and femininity.

Congratulations from AfroNews and Africa News.
